Maria B. Viveiros, 82, of Fall River, wife of the late Joao Viveiros, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Catholic Memorial Home following a long illness. Born in Faja de Baixo, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Alfredo Medeiros and the late Maria da Gloria (Silva) Medeiros.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide at various nursing homes for many years. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family and traveling to Florida and back to her homeland in the Azores. A very intelligent, kind, and giving woman, she was always willing to help anyone in need. But what was most important to Maria was spending quality time with all her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves her loving children, Nelson Viveiros and his wife, Anna, Anabela Sousa and her husband, Joao, Susana Vidal and her husband, Jose, all of Fall River, and Lasalete Medeiros and her husband, Richard, of Florida; her eight grandchildren, Tanya Madeira, Raquel Furtado, Shawn Medeiros, Ashley Sousa, Darshual Viveiros, Cody Medeiros, Caytlyn Viveiros, and Logan Medeiros; seven great-grandchildren, Sienna Madeira, Guilana Madeira, Aiden Tavares, Kazin Medeiros, Lukas Cabral, Emma Furtado, and Khloe Furtado; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Alda Medeiros and the late Conceicao Carreiro.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, February 2nd, in Santo Christo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
