Maria "Zelia" Bento, 88, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Swansea. Wife of the late Manuel Bento. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Antone and Maria Garcia. She was a seamstress at Anderson Little and later at Louis Hand. She loved to travel by bus to Boston and Newport and shop the entire day. Beloved aunt of Jose Silvestre of Fall River and Aurelio (wife – Elaine) Silvestre of Somerset; great nephew Kevin Silvestre of Seekonk. She was also the sister of the late Maria Silvestre. Her funeral arrangements were private.
