Maria C. Brum, 93, formerly of Elizabeth St, widow of Jose L. Brum, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Varzia, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Joao & Dionizia (Travassos) Trindade, she emigrated to Fall River in 1960. A parishioner of Espirito Santo Church, she was a former member of its Holy Rosary Society. She leaves: 2 sons, Antonio Brum of St. Michael, Azores, and Brian Brum of So. Yarmouth, MA; 5 daughters, Maria Mello of Swansea, Helen Oliveira (husband Manuel) of Swansea, Lourdes Medeiros (husband Joseph) of Fall River, Natalie Misturado of Fall River, and Laura Cabral of Fall River; 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. She was also the mother of the late Joseph T. Brum; and a sister of the late Manuel Trindade. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, June 15th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
