Maria C. Pavao, 90, of Fall River, widow of Jose E. Pavao, died Sunday 5/20/12 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Mosteiros, St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose & Maria J. (Garcia) Matos, she emigrated to Fall River in 1971, and was employed at former Bomark for 8 years. She leaves: 5 children, Antonio M. Pavao of Swansea, Mary Jo Medeiros of Westport, Irene M. Ferreira, Leontina Medeiros & Connie Almeida all of Fall River; a sister, Leontina Ferreira of Mosteiros; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, May 24, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
