Maria C. Raposo, 76, of Westport, passed away Thursday after a long illness. Wife of Antonio L. Raposo with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Ajuda Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Antonio D. and Maria Conceicao (Medeiros) Raposo. Beloved mother of Donaria Carvalho and Fernando Raposo both of Florida, Antonio and Lisa Raposo both of Westport and Guida Raposo of Fall River; sister of Antonio Raposo and Maria Isabel Franco both of Canada, Gilberta Resendes of Fall River, Cremilde Raposo of Sao Miguel and the late Jose Andre Raposo. She also leaves 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, July 29, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
