Maria A. (Ramos) Cabral, 80, of Manning St., died Wednesday at home after an extended illness. She was the wife of Armando Cabral. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, daughter of the late Miguel Almeida Ramos and Vitalina (Cabral) Almeida Ramos. For 30 years she worked for the former Shelburne Shirt and enjoyed gardening. Besides her husband Armando, Maria is survived by a daughter, Maria Bernardo and her husband Luis, of Fall River, brothers, Francisco Almeida of Fall River, Antonio Ramos and Jesus Sousa both of Portugal, sisters, Bella Simoes of Fall River, Maria Carvalho of Pawtucket, RI, Irene Dos Anjos, Antonia Almeida, Rosa de Sousa, and Solidade Do Ceu Castro all of Portugal, grandson, Michael Bernardo and his wife Rachel, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral was held Saturday, October 13, in Espirito Santo Church, followed by committal services at Notre Dame Cemetery. Pallbearers were Phillip Carvalho, Jonathan Carvalho, James Simoes, Brian DeAlmeida, Joey Lopes and Manuel Pacheco.
