Maria Cambra, 88, of Fall River, widow of James "Starlight" Cambra Sr, died Friday 4/19/13 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after an illness. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Francisco & Maria (Pacheco) Souza, she worked in the local textile industry for many years until her retirement in1987 and was a member of ILGWU (now UNITE). Surviving are: 3 children, James Cambra Jr (wife Esther) of Tiverton, Donna Cambra (fiancé Eddie Almeida) of Swansea, Carolyn Donovan of Fall River; sister Georgina Raposo of Fall River; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Manuel, Frank, Joseph & Julio Souza. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 22, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St Patrick Cemetery.
