Maria Guilhermina Canuel, 49, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday. Wife of Rui Melo, with whom she shared 7 years of marriage. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose C. and Albertina (Teixeira) Fernandes. Survivors include her former husband, Afred R. Canuel of Fall River; her beloved dog Boo Boo and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 12, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
