Maria do Carmo Resendes, 89, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, March 30th. She was the widow of Luis de Sousa Resendes. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Boaventura Amaral and Maria (Pacheco) Resendes. Maria is survived by her sons, David Resendes and his wife Lidia Grave-Resendes, of Lisbon, Portugal and Luis M. Resendes of Fall River; a grandson, Ricardo Resendes; a sister, Maria Jose Cabral and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on April 8th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
