Maria do Carmo Ventura, 92, of Fall River, passed away Friday at Catholic Memorial Home. Widow of Manuel R. Ventura. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria dos Anjos (Cabral) Teves, she was a retired seamstress, having worked at the former Norman's Clothing Store for many years. Beloved mother of Manuel "Tony" Ventura (wife - Jo-Ann) and the late Hildeberto J. Ventura; grandmother of Eric and Neil Ventura, Jennifer Jones (husband-Jay) and Kendra Ventura-Rodriguez (husband-Alfonso); great grandmother of Brady, Landon and Kane; sister of the late Jose Teves. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Filomena Ventura and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, January 11th, in Santo Christo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
