Maria "Connie" Ferreira, 80, of Somerset, wife of Stephen Ferreira, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She worked as a seamstress in the local textile industry for many years prior to her retirement. Maria loved cooking, baking, and entertaining, especially around the holidays. She also enjoyed ceramics, singing and walking. But what was most important in life to Maria was her loving family. Besides her husband of sixty-one years, she leaves: her children, Robert S. Ferreira and his wife Shelly, Sylienne Crisafulli and her husband Andrew of Somerset, and Paulette Corvi and her husband Armand of Barrington, Rhode Island; eight grandchildren, Kayleigh Ferreira, Ashleigh Corvi, Courtney Ferreira, Alyssa Corvi, Alex Corvi, Andre Corvi, Gwenyth Duclos, and Carson Crisafulli; one great-granddaughter, Makenna Cabral; two brothers, Fernando Jacob and his wife Fernanda of Dartmouth and Joe Jacob and his wife Linda of Fall River; two sisters, Lucy Ferreira and Mary Jean (late husband Leo), both of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Fatima Ferreira, John Jacob, and Valdemar Jacob. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, December 17th, in St. John of God Church in Somerset followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
