Maria A. (Nunes) DaSilva, 55, of Baker St, Fall River, formerly of Buffinton St, wife of Manuel B. DaSilva, died Wednesday January 28, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose & Maria doCarmo (Medeiros) Nunes, she emigrated to Fall River in 1974. A homemaker, she had also been employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry for about 9 years. A member of the Missionary of Peace Church, East Main Street Fall River, her kids and grandkids were her life and passion. Besides her husband, she is survived by: son Peter (his wife Angel) Martins of Ft. Myers, FL, daughter Cindy (her husband Rui) Lopes of Fall River; siblings Margarida Medeiros, Jose, Guilherme & Miguel Nunes all of St. Michael, Azores; 3 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Victor Nunes. Arrangements including cremation were private.
