Maria Fernanda D'Oliveira, 86, of Fall River and wife of Pedro D'Oliveira, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2021 at home following a long illness. Born in Madeira, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Isidro Freitas and the late Ester (Spranger) Freitas.

Prior to her retirement, she was a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She loved cooking and sewing. A very quiet, patient and kind woman, she also enjoyed being home and spending quality time with her family.

Besides her husband, she leaves her loving daughter, Carmen Vaz and her husband, Jose, of Swansea; her two grandsons, Daniel Brian Vaz and Michael Robert Vaz; two sisters, Lilliana Henrique (late husband, John) of Dartmouth and Maria doCarmo Teixeira of Madeira, Portugal; and many nieces and nephews.

Her private funeral was held on Friday, December 17th, from our Fall River Chapel with Her Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her private committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Maria's memory to a charity of one's choice.
