Maria Domingues, 88, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Sunday. Wife of Joaquim Domingues, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Nicolina (Bento) Cabral. She worked as a machine operator at the former Louis Hand. Survivors include sons, Manuel Domingues (wife – Maria) and Don Domingues, both of Fall River; daughters, Rosa Resendes (late husband – Arthur) of Fall River and Susan Moniz (husband – Jason) of Westport; brother, Daniel Cabral of Fall River; sisters, Madelena Teixeira and Adeline Cordeiro of Fall River; grandchildren, Lisa, Cindy, Melinda, Brian, Christopher, Stacy, Rachel and Eric; great grandchildren, Evan, Sabrina, Jacob, Sarah, Bradyn and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Manuel, Luis and Ezekial Cabral, Maria Raimundo, Veneranda Sousa and Gilda Barboza. Maria's Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, November 28, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
