Maria E. "Eduarda" Lopes, 80, of Fall River, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday. Widow of Eduardo M. Lopes. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Edmundo & Valentina Santos. An active parishioner of Espirito Santo Church, she was a member of the Holy Rosary and was also a member of the Ateneu Luso Americano. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Michaud and her husband Michael, of South Dartmouth; and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Joaquim Santos, Leontina Flor and Fernanda Santos. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, November 26, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
