Maria Eduarda Medeiros, 69, of Fall River, wife of Dinis DeMedeiros, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at St. Anne’s Hospital, following a long illness. Born in São Vicente Ferreira, St. Michael, Azores, Maria was a daughter of the late Antonio Brum and the late Maria do Carmo (Pereira Duarte) Brum.

Maria worked as a waitress at Seven Cities Restaurant. On her spare time, Maria loved to read, crochet, play games on her tablet and watch her Spanish Soap Operas. Most notably, Maria cherished the time she spent with her family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Sonia Cabral and her husband Joao, of Fall River, Sandra Medeiros and her husband Ricardo, of Fall River, Marina Gaston and her husband Martin, of Hallsville, Texas, Rui Pacheco and his wife Holly, of Warwick, RI, and Kerry Moran and her husband John, of Fall River; seven grandchildren, Richard, Cynthia, Andre, Nicolle, Jacob, Isabel and Mila Mae; her siblings, Fatima Botelho and Eduardo Miguel, of St. Michael, Azores; and several nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her brothers Jose Luis and Joao Brum.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Visitation to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.

Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. from Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Committal and Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
