Maria A. (Brum) Felix, age 89, a resident of the Catholic Memorial Home, passed away on March 23, 2008 at the St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River. She was the widow of the late Manuel C. Felix. Born on the island of St. Michael in the Azores, she was a daughter of the late Antonio Brum and the late Maria (Martins) Brum. A resident of Fall River since 1966, she was a seamstress, employed for many years at the former Darwood Manufacturing Company of Fall River. Maria was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of the Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers Union. She is survived by a son, Manuel C. Felix of Somerset, MA, a daughter, Maria Lourdes Travassos of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Joseph Brum, Antonio Brum, Nascimento Brum and Maria Olinda. Her funeral Mass was offered in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers were Manny and Robert Brum, Joe Pacheco, and Joe Camara. Her committal service was held at St. Patrick Cemetery.
