Maria F. (Pimentel) Bernardo, 85, of Fall River, widow of Gabriel Bernardo, died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Rabo de Peixe, St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Maria Filomena (de Jesus) Bernardo, she emigrated to Fall River in 1969. Survivors include: sons, Moses, Eduardo, Jaime, Teddy & John Bernardo all of Fall River, and Gabriel Bernardo of Cumberland, RI; daughters, Maria Trinidad Pereira & Phoebe Gervasio both of Fall River, and Eugenia Christopher of No. Seekonk; 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Jose & Manuel Bernardo Estrela, and sister of the late Jaime & Manuel Pimentel. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church.
