Maria J. (Almeida) Amaral, 80, of Fall River, the wife of the late Manuel Amaral, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 unexpectedly. Maria was born in Pico de Padre, St. Michael, Azores and was a daughter of the late Jose Almeida and the late Angeline Almeida. Mrs. Amaral was a member of the Sisters of the Rosary. Maria was known in the Chor Bishop Eid complex to frequent the bingo nights on Mondays and Wednesdays and also on Friday night "movie night". Mrs. Amaral loved going to the Flint Senior Center.  She leaves: her children, Paul Amaral of Fall River, Edward Amaral and his wife Joanna of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Ana Bulger-Roland of Fall River, Louis Amaral of Açores, James Amaral of Fall River and Manny Amaral, Jr. of Fall River; fourteen grandchildren; a sister Maria dos Anjos Rapoza and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the Eduarda Buker. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, May 17th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
