Maria Jose Fernandes, formerly Rapoza, 84, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday at Crawford Skilled Nursing Center. Widow of Joe Fernandes and Ernest M. Rapoza. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Gabriel and Gloria (Leonardo) Amaral. Survived by daughter, Fernanda Rapoza; brother, Luis Amaral; sister, Zulmira Fournier; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. She was laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery.
