Maria Jose Pacheco, 89, formerly of Johnson St., passed away on September 24, 2009 at Catholic Memorial Home. Widow of Alvaro Pacheco. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose and Maria Candida (Dias) Ricardo. She was a retired textile worker. Mother of Marilyn Almeida (husband – Joseph) of Fall River and Aura Dufresne (husband- Edmond) of Berkley; grandmother of Elaine Grieco, Sharon Crowley, Brian Almeida and Derek Dufresne; sister of Maria da Luz Medeiros, Jose Ricardo and the late Manuel and Luis Ricardo and Maria A. Sequeira. She also leaves 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St Anthony of Padua Church. Her committal service was held at Notre Dame Cemetery.
