Maria L. Soares, 67, of Tremont St., passed away Friday at home. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Joana (Pacheco) Soares. Maria is survived by 2 brothers, Antonio Pereira and Manuel Soares; 3 sisters, Fatima Machado, Gloria Lourenco and Maria Pereira; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, June 9, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
