Maria L. Viveiros, 82, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, surrounded by her loving family. Widow of Manuel V. "Pilote" Viveiros. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Cordeiro) Moreira. A Fall River resident since 1951, she worked for Shelburne Shirt and was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church. Maria was known for being an outgoing, loving and generous person who loved cooking, sewing and spending time with her family. She will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew her. Survivors include a son, Manuel Viveiros, Jr. (wife – Cecilia) of Fall River; daughters, Rosemarie Miranda of Fall River and Diane Aguiar (husband – Steven) of Berkley; brothers, Manuel Moreira and Dimas Moreira, both of Fall River; sisters, Mariana Pedro and Hilda Viveiros both of Fall River and Mary Cabral of Tiverton, RI. She was also the sister of the late Helena Pereira; grandchildren (whom she loved more than life itself), Susan, Brian, Sonya, Melissa, Ryan, Julia and Ava; five great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, May 28, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Mausoleum.
