Maria Leonor Dias, 61, of Fall River, wife of Mario J. Dias, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Charlton Memorial Hospital after an illness. Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Antonio T. Medeiros and the late Gilda V. (Medeiros) Medeiros, she emigrated to Fall River in 1977.

She worked in the local textile industry at various companies, including Quaker Fabric until their closure. Leonor enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. More than anything she loved raising her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband, of 37 years, she is survived by: four children, Stephanie Dias (fiancé Justin Hoyle) of Fall River, Justin Dias (wife Jennifer) of Tiverton, RI, Kyle Dias and Chelsea Dias both of Fall River; seven siblings, Maria Gilda Oliveira and Joao P. Medeiros both of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Antonio E. Medeiros of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Leonardo Medeiros of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Maria do Carmo Diogo, Guilherme & Marcelino Medeiros all of Fall River; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Kailee, Jaela, Jordin, Lilyanna, Paisley, and Juliana; and many nieces & nephews. She was also a sister of the late Rogerio L. Medeiros and Jose A. Medeiros.

Her Funeral Service was held on Friday, April 29th, during a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel. A private cremation followed.
