Maria de Lourdes Carvalho, 90, formerly of Tremont St., passed away Saturday at Southpointe Nursing Center. Widow of Manuel Papoula Carvalho. Born in Santa Cruz, Brasil, daughter of the late Jose and Guilhermina (Teixeira) DeMelo. She was a retired textile worker. Mother of Margaret Rezendes (husband-Carlos) of Tiverton and Joseph M. Carvalho (wife-Fatima) of Fall River; grandmother of Maggie Fauci, David and Brian Carvalho and Lisa Valois; sister of the late Manuel Melo, Jose De Melo, Joao and Luciana Medeiros, Jeremias and Daniel Teixeira and Albertina Fernandes. She also leaves 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Wednesday (5/13) in St Anthony of Padua Church. Committal services followed at Notre Dame Cemetery. Her pallbearers were David and Brian Carvalho, Marc Fauci, Steven Valois, Manuel Melo and Luis de Melo.
