Maria M. Medeiros' Obituary
Maria M. (Raposo) Medeiros, the wife of Carlos Medeiros, Sr., passed away Tuesday July 25, 2017 in Fall River at the age of 60. Mrs. Medeiros was born in Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Azores, and was the daughter of the late Jose de Sousa and Maria de Carmo Raposo. Maria was a valued employee of Whaling Manufacturing for over thirty years. Mrs. Medeiros loved her grandchildren dearly, and their importance to her was unrivaled. In addition to her husband she is also survived by her two sons: Carlos Medeiros, Jr. and his wife Stephanie and Scott Medeiros both of Fall River; 2 grandchildren, Evan and Sofia Medeiros and many nieces & nephews. Maria was the sister of Maria Fatima Raposo Coelho and her husband Jose of St. Michael, Maria Theresa Sousa Reis and her husband Francisco of
Mississauga,
Canada & Maria dos Anjos Raposo Jacob and her husband Joao of Fall River. She was the sister of the late Jose Antonio Raposo. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, July 31st, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
