Maria Grace Machado, 67, of Fall River, wife of Joao M. Machado, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Remedios da Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose C. Lindo and the late Maria Miguele (Novo) Lindo.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She was a great cook, loved shopping, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and her two dogs, Toby and Sadie. Most notably, Grace was always willing and eager to help anyone in need, never refusing to give of herself, especially when it came to her family.

Besides her loving husband of forty-six years, she leaves her three daughters, Ann Marie Medeiros and her husband, Brian, Kimberly Lima and her husband, Bobby, and Jennifer Machado, all of Fall River; her seven precious grandchildren whom she loved "to the moon and back", Nathan, Sofia, Isabella, Liam, Selena, Lucas, and Sawyer; her sisters, Mary E. Arruda (late husband, Moses) and Alda Ferreira and her husband, Joseph; her brothers, Jose A. Lindo (late wife, Terry) and Manuel Lindo and his wife, Ana; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Manuel Lindo.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, June 27th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
