Maria Margarida Medeiros, 71, of Tiverton, RI, died Sunday, July 29, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Wife of Guilherme "Billy" Medeiros. Born in Capelas, St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Natalia DaSilva. She resided in Tiverton for 35 years where, together with her husband, they owned the Casa Vitoria Restaurant until 1978. Mother of John Medeiros & Patricia Frezza, both of Westport, Gabriel Medeiros of Cumberland, RI, Natalie Simoes & Antone Medeiros, both of Fall River, and Margaret Cabral, Rose Pedro & Christine Tripp, all of Tiverton, sister of Antonio DaSilva of Tiverton, and Marcelo DaSilva of Fall River, 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, many nieces & nephews. Also sister of the late Manuel & Joao DaSilva. Funeral was held Wednesday, August 1st, in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton, at 10:30am. Pallbearers were Michael Simoes, Vinny Cabral, Richard Mello, Victor Sousa, Samuel Silva and Joseph Silva. Interment St Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
