Maria "Mateus" Medeiros, 82, of Fall River, passed away on Christmas Day after a long illness. Wife of Caetano Medeiros to whom she was married for 60 years. Born in Mosteiros and raised in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel Monte and Maria Helena Ferreira. Mother of Joao (wife-Maria) and Jose Medeiros, Teresa Branco (husband-Jose), Etelvina Raposo (husband-Jose) and Helena Senra (husband-Jose). She also leaves 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 sister, many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 28, at Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
