Maria P. (Barbosa) Medeiros, 70, of Hamlet Street, died on March 20, 2008 at St. Anne's Hospital. Widow of Antonio L. Medeiros. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao & Olivia (Raposa) Barbosa. Resident of Fall River since 1974, she was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish Church. Maria is survived by a daughter, Filomena Cechinel of Fall River, brothers, Joao, Mario & Jose Barbosa, all of Fall River, sisters, Fernanda Pereira of Bristol, RI, Espirito Santo Furtado of St. Michael, Azores, Lucia Barbosa & Julieta Arruda both of Fall River, grandchildren, Belinda and Filomena Teixeira, Diego, Izabelle and Brianna Cechinel, and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass was held at Good Shepherd Parish Church. Her committal service followed at Notre Dame Cemetery.
