Maria Fatima Medeiros, 62, of Fall River, wife of David S. Medeiros, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston. Born in St Michael, Azores, daughter of Diamantina (Pavao) Goncalo of the Azores and the late Jose Goncalo, she emigrated to Fall River in 1974. She worked in the local textile industry for about 6 years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with the grandkids. Besides her husband, she leaves: 3 children, Kevin Medeiros (wife Silvina), Christine Marcelino (husband Brian) & Michelle Dias all of Fall River; 5 siblings, Jose Goncalo, Carlos Goncalves, Maria De Lurdes Rego, Ana Maria Costa & Maria Conceicao Goncalo all of Fall River; 4 grandchildren, Kierra, Adrian, Alanis & Evan; several nieces & nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, February 24, 2012 at St Anthony of Padua Church. Her committal service was held at St Patrick Cemetery.
