Maria T. (Faria) Miguel, 83, wife of Pedro Miguel, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the daughter of the late Guilherme Faria and the late Emelia (dos Santos) Faria, she resided in Fall River most of her life.

She worked in the local textile industry for many years until her retirement, and enjoyed reading. A devout Catholic, and dedicated mother and grandmother, Maria loved Jesus and raising her family, especially her grandchildren.

Besides her husband, of 64 years, she is survived by: five children, Pedro Miguel, Maria Carvalho (husband Leonard), Paul Miguel, Elizabeth Costa (husband Paul), and Paulina De Sousa all of Fall River; eleven grandchildren, Derrick Miguel (wife Amy), Ashley Parente (husband Christopher), Tyler Miguel, Alexander Miguel, Vanessa Jordan (husband Christopher), Jacob Miguel (Anne Marie), Pedro Joao Miguel, Victoria Miguel, Nicholas Costa, Hailey De Sousa, and Hannah De Sousa; nine great grandchildren, Jayden, Dylan, Madison, Amayah, Dean, Alison, C. J., Lily-Ana, and Charlotte (plus one "on the way"); and many nieces & nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 22nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
