Maria C. Moniz's Obituary
Maria C. (Machado) Moniz, passed away Sunday in St. Anne's Hospital at the age of 94. She was the wife of the late Antonio Moniz. Mrs. Moniz was born in Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael, and was a daughter of the late Manuel and the late Maria Filomena Moniz. She had been a trimmer at Whaling Manufacturing prior to her retirement. She is survived by her 7 children: Cremilde Pereira and her husband Gilbert, Maria Eduarda Medeiros and her husband Herculano, Ida Carreiro and her husband Joao, Nick Moniz, Herbie Moniz and his wife Camila, Manny Moniz and his wife Ana all of Fall River and Izzy Moniz and his wife Irene of East Taunton. She was the mother of the late Jose V. Moniz. Her funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 19th, in Christ the Rock Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
