Maria N. Costa, 84, of Fall River, passed away Thursday after a short illness. Widow of Antonio M. Costa. Born in Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Francisco DaPonte and Maria do Carmo Rodrigues. Beloved mother of Jose (wife-Lourdes), Joao (wife-Rosemary), Miguel (wife-Conceicao) and Leonardo (Wife-Helen) Costa, Manuel Mauricio (wife-Lidia) and Rosa Martin (husband-Wesley); and sister of the late Jose, Agostinho and Joao DaPonte. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, June 11, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
