Maria Nalita Soares, 74, of Sheraton Ave., Somerset died on April 22, 2008 after a long illness. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the later Manuel and Clara (Machado) Espinola, Jr., She was mother of Tina Almeida (husband Joseph) of Somerset and Paula Carvalho (husband Washington) of Framingham., sister of Jose and Fernando Espinola, Maria Luisa Rodrigues, Liduina Soares, and the late Maria Eduarda Duarte, grandmother of Gregory, Andrew, Nicholas, Ashley and the late Stephanie, great grandmother of Benjamin. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated at St. John of God Church. Bringing her to her final resting place at St. Patrick Cemetery in Somerset were pallbearers Greg Almeida, Andrew and Nick DeCourcey, Al Duarte, Frenando and Eddy Espinola.
