Maria Natalia Raposo, 91, of Westport, wife of the late Eduardo Pereira Raposo, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2022 in the comforts of her home following a long illness. Born in Fazenda da Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel DaCosta Lima and the late Mara Ascencao (Raposo) Lima.

A very hard worker, she was a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She loved crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, and arts and crafts. She also enjoyed traveling to such places as Italy, Canada, Madeira, Fatima, and the Holy Land. A devout Catholic, Maria faithfully attended Mass and prayed the rosary daily. Most important to Maria was spending quality time with family and friends.

She leaves her loving son, Nuno L. Pereira and his wife, Fatima, of Westport; her sister, Fatima Lima Abt (late husband, Peter) of Canada; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Joao Manuel Pereira and sister of the late Anibal Lima, Father Gilberto Lima, Edmundo Lima, Fernanda Lima, and Eugenia Lima Ramos.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, June 15th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery both in Fall River.
