Maria C. Oliveira, 91, of Fall River, widow of Luiz B. de Oliveira, died Thursday January 13, 2011 at home. Born in Faja de Baixo, St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Antonio M. & Maria T. (Raposo) Fortuna, she lived in Fall River since 1972. She worked in the local textile industry, retiring in 1978. Mother of Margaret O. Lima of Newport, Luis F. & Carlos A. Oliveira both of Fall River. Sister of Gilda Fortuna Raposo of the Azores, and the late Joao Machado Fortuna and Zulmira Fortuna da Ponte. She also leaves 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Santo Christo Church followed by a committal service at St. Columda's Cemetery in Middletown, RI. Pallbearers were Fernando Cabral, Octavio and Alfredo Canhoto, Joe Aguiar Joseph Lima and Luis Oliveira. In her memory donations can be made to Caritas Hospice, 275 Martine St, Fall River, MA 02723
