Maria Olivia C. Medeiros, 90, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, December 8th, in St. Anne's Hospital. She was the widow of Adelino Medeiros. Born in Arrifes, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao Cordeiro Amarelo and Deolinda Sousa Massa. She had been employed as a seamstress for many years up until her retirement from A & A Dress Shop. Maria was the mother of Daciel Medeiros and his wife Mary of Dartmouth, and John L. Medeiros and his wife Nancy of Fall River. She was the grandmother of Elizabeth Medeiros-Ball, Jonathan Medeiros, Jocelyn Medeiros, and Ryan Medeiros and great grandmother of Nathan Medeiros-Ball, Jonathan Medeiros, Jr., Trent Medeiros Giada Medeiros and Sadie Medeiros-Ball. Maria loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. She was also sister of the late Luiza Sousa Raposo and Luis Cordeiro Amarelo. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, December 12th, in Holy Trinity Parish Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
