A longtime member of the St. Anthony of Padua Church, Maria also participated in charismatic group functions at other churches and especially enjoyed visiting local nursing homes to pray for residents.

Maria was also a sister of the late Manuel Amaral and Miguel Amaral.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, November 22nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
