Maria Pimentel Cabral " Maria DaLuz", 93 of Fall River, wife of the late Daniel S. Cabral, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Jewish Home, on Thursday, April 2, 2020 after a long illness.
Born in Porto Formoso, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Caetano Pimentel and the late Margarida (Arruda) Pimentel. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Church in Fall River
She loved spending time with her family, loved to cook, and devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and entire family.
She leaves: 5 children, Jose Cabral, Mary Martins and her husband Daciano , Manuel Cabral and his wife Anna all of Fall River, MA, Maria Cabral of Naples, FL, and Anna Cabral of Taunton, MA; 9 Grandchildren, Stephanie Martins, Eric Cabral, Brian Cabral, Justin Rego, Kyle Rego, Daniel Brogan, Tiffany Campos, Lisa Cabral and Autumn Cabral and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Caetano Pimentel, Jose Pimentel, Maria Machado, and Bernadette Pimentel.
Due to the COVID pandemic, Maria was laid to rest on Wednesday, April 8th, with a private committal service at Notre Dame Cemetery.
When the current crisis allows, her family is planning to celebrate her life with a Memorial Funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, which will be announced here.
Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support. But, because of this pandemic, all are urged to express sympathy online or by mail.
