Maria P. Sousa, 65, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday. She was the wife of Manuel V. Sousa, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Sao Pedro, Sao Miguel, Acores, daughter of the late Antonio Pavao Medeiros and Irene (Oliveira) Medeiros. Maria worked for many years at Quaker Fabric. Besides her husband, Maria is survived by her children, Maria Graca Paulino and her husband, Edmundo of Fall River and Paulo M. Sousa and his wife, Carla of Fall River; siblings, Carlos Medeiros and his wife, Maria of Fall River and Luisa Carrelas and her husband, Marcelino of Westport; grandchildren, Tania Franca (husband - Jonathan), Sabrina Sousa, Francisco Paulino and Brianna Sousa; great grandchildren, Ayliyanah and Sophia Franca; and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Antonio Pavao and Duarte Pavao. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, June 2nd in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
