Maria Isabel (Fernandes) Pavao, 76, of Fall River, widow of Silvestre, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late John Fernandes Sr. and the late Maria (Camara) Fernandes.

She had worked in the local textile industry for many years, including Beacon Garment and Quaker Fabric. A loving and caring woman, her grandchildren brought her so much joy. She enjoyed shopping with her sisters and was always willing to go anywhere and would always help with whoever needed anything. Isabel was a true woman of love, her kindness and love for people was evident to those who had the honor of meeting her.  Isabel also enjoyed her casino trips and her glass of wine.

She is survived by: three children, Michael Pavao and his wife Katie of Dighton, Brian Pavao and his wife Michelle of Fall River and Anita Pavao of Fall River; four siblings, John Fernandes Jr. and his wife Mary Lou of Westport, Mary Jo Dos Reis and her husband Joseph of Swansea, Anna DaLuz  and her husband Joseph of Fall River and Leonilde Medeiros  and her husband Joseph of Fall River; three grandchildren, Jared Pavao, Hadley Pavao, and Cooper Pavao, many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral  Mass was celebrated on Thursday, December 10th, in Santo Christo Church followed by her committal and entombment at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
