Maria (Pimentel) Silva, 91, of Choate St., passed away Wednesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Widow of Jose P. Silva. Born in Amoreiras, Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jacinto Pimentel Carvalho and Helena (Medeiros) Carvalho. A retired sewing machine operator, she worked for River Falls Mfg. for many years. Beloved mother of Jose Maria P. Silva (wife-Maria Teresa), Maria Lourdes Hilario (husband – Adelino), Laudalino Silva (wife – Ligia) and Donaria Pereira (husband-Mario); grandmother of Adelino and Victor Hilario, Steven Silva and Lesley Tersigni; sister of Mariana Harding and the late Manuel and Joao Carvalho. She also leaves 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. On Saturday, January 8th, family and friends gathered for a Funeral mass celebrating Maria's life in Espirito Santo Church. Following the ceremony, pallbearers Lino Hilario, Steven Silva, Victor Hilario, Jason Tersigni, John Carvalho and Brian Torres brought Maria to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
