Maria R. Medeiros, 66, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday. Widow of Leonel Teixeira Medeiros. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Maria do Carmo (Franco) Torres. Maria was known for being a gifted cook and an impeccable seamstress. Survivors include a son, Lenny T. Medeiros, Jr. (wife – Heather) of Fall River; a daughter, Maria S.C. Boleates (husband – Donny) of Fall River; a brother, John Luis Torres (wife – Fatima) of Tewksbury, MA; grandsons, Matthew Thomas Medeiros and Joshua Mica Medeiros; and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Joe Torres, Francisco Torres and Fernando Torres. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, January 30, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
