Maria "Rosa" (Janeiro) Ferreira, the wife of the late Manuel J. Ferreira died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Sarah Brayton Nursing Home at the age of 76 surrounded by her loving  family. Rosa was born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael and was a daughter of the late Jose C. and Maria Valeria (Medeiros) Janeiro.  She is survived by her children: John Ferreira and his companion Donna Ferreira of Fall River, Maria Louisa Ferreira and her companion Bruce Norman of Fall River, Robert Ferreira and his wife Gabriele of Swansea, Diane Hebert and her companion Analidio Caetano of Palm Bay, Florida,  "the favorite" Joanne Santos and her husband Ronald of Dartmouth, and Manuel John Ferreira, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Fall River; ten grandchildren: Ryan Santos, Brihanna Hebert, Jonathan and Kayla Pereira, Jennifer, Jessica, Hayley, Mackenzie, Scott, and Rachel Ferreira; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of Jose M. Correia  and his wife Donaria of Fall River, and Eduarda St. Laurent and her husband Armand of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on  Friday, September 22nd, in Saint Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
