Maria Rosaria Ferreira, 88, of 272 Quequechan St, Fall River, widow of Domingos Ferreira, died on August 17, 2008 from heart complications following hip surgery at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of Jose & Guilherme (Furtado) Lucas, she emigrated to Fall River in 1963. She enjoyed going to Flint Senior Center. Mother of Joseph D. Ferreira & Maria R. Pereira both of Fall River. Sister of Gloria Carrita of British Columbia, Canada. Grandmother of 8. Great Grandmother of 9. Predeceased by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church. Committal services followed at Notre Dame Cemetery. Her pallbearers were Joseph and John Pereira, Justin Amaral, Paul and Brian Ferreira and Thomas Swiader.
