Maria Da Conceição (Lourenço) Salvador, 85, of Tracy, CA and formerly of Santa Clara, passed away on January 24, 2020 surrounded by her family. Affectionately known as "Mariazinha", she was the beloved wife of Jose Pereira Salvador, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Terceira, Açores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Francisco Lourenço Homem and Maria Lourenço Silva. Maria emigrated to the United States in 1966, first living in Fall River, Massachusetts. Along with her husband, Mariazinha worked for many years at Hewlett Packard in Waltham, MA. With longing for beautiful weather, when HP offered the opportunity to move out west to Silicon Valley in 1977, Jose and Maria jumped at the chance, settling in Santa Clara where they remained until moving to Tracy in 1999. Mariazinha lived her life by the three "F"s ~ Faith, Family and Food. Her faith in God could move mountains, her family meant the world to her and nobody in her proximity ever went hungry. She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Besides her husband, survivors include her children, Filomena M. Silva (husband-Paul) of Fall River, Francisco J. Salvador (wife-Lucia) of Santa Clara; grandchildren, Amy Rigtrup (husband-Jonathan) and Patricia Robinson (husband-Patrick) both of Fall River, Melanie Silva (husband-Alex Correia) of Providence, RI,  Britteny Salvador of Oakland, Bethany Salvador of Santa Clara, Chelsea Salvador of Seattle, WA and Cedric Salvador of Boise, ID; her siblings, John S. Homem (wife-Mary) of Alberta, Canada and Maria de Lourdes da Silva Lourenço (husband-the late Antonio) of Ontario, Canada; great grandchildren, Greyson James Rigtrup, Joseph Jonathan Rigtrup, Cecelia Ana Rae Rigtrup and Baby Robinson on the way; many nieces, nephews, godchildren and cousins. She was also grandmother of the late Jacinta Salvador and sister of the late Francisco Lourenço Homem, Jr. (wife-the late Eugenia) and Rosa da Silva Lourenço (husband the late Antonio Vaz). Maria was also the sister-in-law of the late Judite Estrela (husband-Manuel of Billerica, MA); Ana Comtois, who is also a godchild, (husband-Gerry) of Milford, NH; Filomena Peixoto (husband-the late Eusebio), Iria Goulart Salvador (husband-the late Gilberto) and Benvinda Pereira dos Santos Salvador (husband-the late Fernando) all of Terceira; Lucio Salvador (spouse-Nair) of Montijo, Portugal; and the late Joao DeBrito Salvador (wife-Lucia of Ontario, Canada). Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass on Friday, March 6 ^th , at 11am in St. Bernard's Church, 165 West Eaton Avenue, Tracy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maria's name to a charity of your choosing would be greatly appreciated.
