Maria Gloria (Botelho) Silva, 82, formerly of 139 Quarry St., died peacefully on June 24, 2008 at the Catholic Memorial Home. She was the widow of Jose B. Silva. Born in Feteiras, Sao Miguel, Acores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel R. Botelho and stepdaughter of the late Mariana Botelho. She lived in Fall River for the past 52 years. Mrs. Silva worked in Fall River's garment industry for many years, including Quaker Fabric. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by three sons, Benjamin B. & wife Anna, Juvencio B. & wife Helen, and Joseph B. Silva, all of Fall River; 5 grandchildren, Nicole Malcolm, Rachel Silva, Todd Silva, and Joseph & Shanda Desrosiers; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John & Manuel R. Botelho. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers Todd and Eric Silva, Joseph Desroisers, Marc Malcolm, David Cunha and Gil Patricio brought to her final resting place at St. Patrick Cemetery.
