Maria Cabral, 98, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday after a short illness. Widow of Jose Cabral. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel Soares and Maria Amaro. Beloved mother of Maria Branco (husband-Antonio), Nancy Soares, Manuel (wife-Estrela), Jose (wife-Madalena) and Nicolau (wife-Anna) Cabral; sister of the late Manuel, Jose and Joao Soares, Lidia Melo and Estafania Cabral. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and was grandmother of the late Joey Cabral, Linda and Filomena Branco. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 31, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
