Maria M. Teles, 87, of Fall River, wife of the late Domingos C. Teles, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Catholic Memorial Home following a long illness. Born in Vila Franca do Campo, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Vieira Vales and the late Angelina (Bolarinho) Vieira Vales.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She loved cooking, baking, and crocheting. A true "jokester" and always the "life of the party", she enjoyed and had the knack for making people laugh. Most notably, Maria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who relished the time she spent with her family.

She leaves her loving daughter, Durvalina Dutra and her husband, Humberto, of Swansea, and her two grandchildren, Kyle Dutra and Kaitlyn Dutra. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Maria was the sister of the late Miguel Vieira Vales, Natalia Bolarinho, Fernanda Carvalho, and Armando Vieira Vales.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, June 23rd, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Swansea followed by her committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Somerset.
